Leading in Crisis
The current crisis is apparently worse than the curfew during the Japanese occupancy in Malaya. Is that true?
1. We don't know who is our enemy
2. You will not know if you have already been attacked by your enemy until 14 days
3. There is no settlement with your enemy. You either stay put or they would wipe you out completely.
4. You have no clue when the enemy would go away and even when they do, will there be others who might come back to attack our nation again.
The US military coined the word VUCA and trained their soldiers to manage what they referred as times is critical uncertainty. They key to leading in this VUCA environment is to be able to fight VUCA with VUCA itself. What does this mean? Here is the illustration for your understanding.
